Electrical Parameters

Measurement, Control and Monitoring

Now you can monitor your electrical equipment at the lowest cost available.

AC Voltage, Current, Power Factor, Energy, Demand, etc

Control your loads and cut down demand and energy costs.

Using these devices, in combination with other of our products you can control, monitor and get reports of your per machine-power usage.

These Power Transducers are ideal for Energy Management Systems.
  • Accurate true RMS measurements.
  • EMS Compatible Outputs.
  • Compact Size and Quick Installation.
  • Interfacing with standard 5A CTs or miniature current transformers.
  • Low Voltage Installation.

    WATTS ON phase power transducer
The WattsOn universal digital power transducer uses cutting-edge metering technology to provide unprecedented accuracy and metering information for any electrical installation. WattsOn monitors each phase individually and incorporates the functions of single-phase, split-phase, and three-phase meters, to provide over 15 electrical measurements, per phase.

Features:

  • High Accuracy (0.5%), 24-bit, True-RMS
  • 24VAC/VDC excitation power (PLC/DDC compatible)
  • Digital communication via RS-485 (MODBUS RTU)
  • Two pulse outputs
  • Rolling Window Demand calculations
  • Two 0-10V analog outputs may be configured to represent any two instantaneous parameters
  • Small, DIN mount enclosure
  • Optically Isolated output signals

Ordering Information:

WattsOn-[1]-[2]-[3]-[4]
Where:
    [1] Specifies Output Type:
              1100
= RS-485 + 2 x Pulse;
              1200
= RS-485 + 1 x Pulse + 2 x Analog

[2] Specifies CT Input Type (for example):

Industry Stardard 5A CTs:

5A

Inputs for 5A CTs
Solid Core 5A CTs: SCT Series
Split Core  5A CTs: M600 Series

Solid Core CTs:

MCTX

Inputs for MCTX CTs (full scale current must follow, up to 100A)

MCTA

Inputs for MCTA CTs (full scale current must follow, up to 300A)

MCTB

Inputs for MCTB CTs (full scale current must follow, up to 50A)

Split Core CTs:

MSCT1

Inputs for MSCT1 CTs (full scale current must follow, up to 200A)

MSCT2

Inputs for MSCT2 CTs (full scale current must follow, up to 600A)

MSCT3

Voltage Output CTs:

333mV

Inputs for 333mV CTs

1000mV

Inputs for 1000mV CTs

[3] Specifies CT full scale current (N/A for 5A, 333mV and 1000mV options)
[4] Specifies Nominal Frequency (for greater accuracy). (60Hz is assumed if not specified)

*** Note: By default, analog outputs are configured as 1) Total Real Power and 2) Average Current. The anticipated nominal voltage should be stated to properly configure the output scaling. Analog output values and scaling may be changed later via Modbus.

Example: WattsOn-1200-MSCT3-800A-50Hz

Specifies transducer with 0-10V analog outputs, and current inputs calibrated for MSCT3 CTs, 800A maximum full scale, with a nominal frequency of 50Hz

Example: WattsOn-1100-5A

Specifies transducer with two pulse outputs, calibrated for 5A inputs, and 60Hz nominal frequency.

MCT- Solid core current sensors

Features:

  • Current sensors for the EMT1, EMT2 and MOC1 power transducers.
  • MCT current sensors do not produce high voltage surge when opened. They generate a low voltage output signal and no special protection and shorting blocks are required.
MCTX Imax=100A
MCTA Imax=300A
MCTB Imax=450A

MSCT- Split core current sensors

Features:

  • Current transformers for all our power transducers.
  • MSCT current sensors do not produce high voltage surge when opened. They generate a mV signal level and no special protection and shorting blocks are required. Maximum open secondary voltage is clamped at about 22 V peak.

NOTE: MSCT current sensors shall be installed on insulated conductors only.

ETVI- Voltage to Current transducer

Features:

  • Cost effective solution
  • High accuracy
  • Manual output override
  • Loop current indication
  • Small size and easy installation

Application: The ETVI two channel board converts analog voltage, typically 0 to 10 VDC, to an industrial standard 4-20 mA signal. This board can be used to interface a generic DDC panel that provides voltage output with any loop current driven device.
