Setpoints (display points), lamps and buttons can be custom labeled by the user with plastic inserts. The inserts can be custom legended with text and/or graphics, and slipped into protective pockets behind the faceplate.
Lamps can be individually controlled to be on, off, or flash. Each button can be individually configured to operate as either a momentary or alternate-action pushbutton.
The OM613 Operator Panel is part of Optimation's OptiMateŽ series. Each OptiMateŽ module is designed to connect to a microprocessor or to most PLC's with a single cable connection. OptiMateŽ modules can be used individually, or together with any combination of other OptiMateŽ modules.
When used with a microprocessor system, simple communications over either an RS232 or RS422 communications cable allows the microprocessor to directly read setpoints and to write display values.
When used with a PLC, operation is transparent to the user. Panel functions tie directly into your PLC ladder logic program. The OM613 takes care of the rest.
Features
4 independent setpoints or display
points with four-digit numeric display
Two large LED light bars
Four tactile snap membrane function buttons
Non-volitile storage of setpoints
User-Legendable
Stand alone capability with direct
connection to most PLCs

modules
Benefits
Saves valuable I/O rack space
Eliminates the need for controller I/O modules for operator
panel use
Reduces system integration and retrofit costs
Removes and replaces maintainability
Rapid future expansion
Attractive, eye-appealing appearance
Direct Connect to PLCs
OptiMateŽ modules connect and operate directly with most major PLCs. A simple cable connection allows the PLC to control each lamp directly simply by setting bits in data registers. Everything else is totally transparent.
PLC
Multi-Modules
The OptiMateŽ series provides the
means to construct large custom panels with standard building block modules.
OptiMateŽ modules can be grouped together or separated by up to 4000 feet.
Any combination of operator panels and I/O can be incorporated into a system.
Microprocessor-Based
Systems
OptiMateŽ modules connect to any
computer or microprocessor-based system through a serial link. Either
RS232 or RS422 communications can be employed. The microprocessor controller
simply polls for module data or sends module commands to completely control
the operator panels and I/O.
Legending
the Field Points
Legending the OM613 module involves
simply sliding a legend transparency into the three pockets in the panel overlay.
The bezel can be removed from the front of the module. Once this is done
legend transparencies can be placed behind the overlay.
A legend transparency can be created by a number of methods. Computer graphics programs combined with overhead transparency paper and a laser printer and/or copier produce excellent results. Other options are listed in the OM613 data sheet
